Last week over 20 trees were planted on Bideford Walk in Leigham!
The project has been carried out by Plymouth & South Devon Community Forest (PSDCF) and was as a result of requests by residents for tree planting in their neighbourhood.
Plymouth Tree People were delighted to support PSDCF with the planting by helping them with the design and consulting with residents. The planting was designed to retain a wide central grassed area so children and dog walkers could still use the green. The consultation indicated that the majority of local people were delighted with the plan!
The Plymouth City Council team, Mark, Wayne and Scott, wasted no time in getting the trees in the ground and the essential task of guarding the young trees from deer.
James and Ali from PTP were on hand and joined by Cllr Will Noble, who lives locally. He was more than happy to get his hands dirty!
