Lovely looking tree on Beacon Park Road
Young trees need up to 50 litres of water a week!
Please put some water in if you can
We have recently put tree tags on the trees on Beacon Park Road and Segrave Road in the hope it will encourage residents to water the young trees in their neighbourhoods!
New trees need a lot of help, particularly when the weather is hot and dry. We hope that with the help of the tree bags and the new tags, reminding people to fill them up, that these trees will have the best chances of establishing.
If you live in either of these areas then please consider regularly putting water in the bags. They can take up to 75 litres but whatever you can manage is great. A 10 litre watering can costs just 2p to fill from the tap but why not use your bath water! If you don't have watering can, get in touch and we will get one for you!
And don't stop there! Any young trees near wherever you live would appreciate a watering, not just the ones with bags and tags.
