Learning about the trees in Drakes Place

This week saw the last of the 6 sessions of the Introduction to Trees course which Plymouth Tree People arranged for our wonderful volunteer Tree Wardens.

This fascinating course was led by experienced Arboriculturalist Dom Scanlon who covered subjects such as the basics of how trees work, tree surveys, tree pruning and trees and the law. While 5 of the 6 sessions were classroom based, we were blessed with a dry evening for our last one which meant we could head out to learn and ask questions about the beautiful trees in areas surrounding Plymouth University.

We'd like to say a really big thank you to Dom for such a valuable course which will undoubtably assist our tree wardens. The more you learn about trees, the more you want to learn! And thank you to Plymouth University for allowing us to use the Sustainability Hub to hold the sessions.
