How do you select trees for planting for projects?

Plymouth Tree People believe that "right tree, right place" should be the guiding principle of species selection. We work closely with landscape designers and Plymouth City Council to select trees which are appropriate for the chosen location. We want trees not to simply survive but thrive. The urban environment can be a harsh climate for trees, so it is important to select trees which will do well. Each site is considered individually, as each site will have its own unique challenges.
