I would like to learn more about trees. Can you recommend any resources?

There are many brilliant books about trees and woodlands; for example:

• The Collins Tree Guide by Owen Johnson and David More
• The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben,
• A Trillion Trees by Fred Pearce,
• The Lost Rainforests of Britain by Guy Shrubsole,
• And of course, For the Love of Trees – in Plymouth and Beyond by Gloria Dixon and Andrew Young, in bookshops and through PTP’s website.

There are also many excellent websites which offer free resources, for example the Woodland Trust, the Arboricultural Association, and the Tree & Design Action Group. We also have many extremely knowledgeable Tree Wardens who are only too happy to share their experience. Why not come along to a volunteer session and learn more?
