A massive thank you to everyone who came to help us plant trees in Radford Park last week!
It was a great day planting 12 (of the eventual 13) trees in Radford Park and being an arboretum they were a fabulous variety of different species. We were joined by lots of our amazing volunteer Tree Wardens, Naomi from the Plymouth & South Devon Community Forest, some of the Forest Rising graduates, local volunteers and Sir Ghillean Prance, who popped along to help plant the Ginkgo Biloba which he chose for the park.
Everything came together when the tree guards were delivered, just in the nick of time, directly to site. Thanks to Dyers Metal Mesh for that.
And of course, thanks to Mark for going to get the pasties. The most important job!
Extra big thanks to Graham, Chris H and Matt for going above and beyond.
This project is made possible by the Plymouth and South Devon Community Forest, a partnership project funded by the Trees for Climate fund as part of the DEFRA 'Nature for Climate' fund and funding includes 3 years of watering through the warmer months which is done by @millerscleaningspecialists2024
