Last week we held the Plymouth Tree People 2024 Annual General Meeting at Keyham Green Places which was very well attended.

Highlights included reports on the recent planting projects, the financial report and events such as the evening talks and Plymouth Urban Tree Festival.

PTP are sad to say goodbye to Chris Hunt as a Trustee, although Chris is has kindly committed to continue his great work with the Tree Wardens and looking after trees all over Plymouth, in particular Central Park.

Roger Atkin, Dave Curno and Andrew Young were re-elected as Trustees and we are delighted to have been able to welcome Louise Henry as a new Trustee.

Of note, in the year up to March 2024 Plymouth Tree People:

We have 295 members with 43 volunteer Tree Wardens.

Volunteers contributed over 1,200 volunteer hours, tended to over 500 trees, planted over 30 trees, engaged with 24 residents groups, provided 6 guided walks and 11 educational talks.

After the meeting attendees were invited to a guided walk around Alexandra Park.
