A massive thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who joined us last Friday to plant trees on Wingfield Road and Maker View.
The forecast was dreadful but that didn't stop 27 amazing people turning up to help us plant the first of our trees which are going in this season!
(The sunny photos are from the next day!)
An extra big thank you to our volunteer Tree Wardens who were on hand to help anyone who had not planted trees before and Jordan who kindly brought his camera (photos to come).
8 Field Maples and an Oak tree went in and they all look great!
Early next year we will be planting loads more trees on these two roads after a really positive response from residents.
This project is funded and supported by the Plymouth and South Devon Community Forest. We also successfully applied for money for 2 new picnic benches which we will also be installing next year.
If you would like to help us on another planting day, get in touch! It's a lot of fun and really rewarding.
