Plymouth Tree People are encouraging everyone who is able to, to water the trees near where they live.

Our Tree Wardens have been watering in parks all over the city, and this morning a group of amazing volunteers delivered over 500 litres to trees in the Family Tree Field.
We have had barely a drop of rain since June, and even the mature trees in Plymouth are suffering. Any help is really welcome, and watering a tree with a watering can will not breach the hose pipe ban. Additionally, all trees planted within the last year are exempt from the hose pipe ban.
Why not take a look at the ones in the park near you? Even 10 litres a few times a week will help, and you can also recycle your bath water!
Watering all the trees which need help is too much work for our volunteers and for Plymouth City Council - if we all do a bit, we can save some which are suffering and might die without help.
