Great to hear about the future plans for the park
Massive thank you to all the brilliant volunteers who came out (in the rain) on Friday to plant trees in Blockhouse Park! Loads of lovely volunteers joined Plymouth Tree People Tree Wardens to plant 17 new trees in Stoke.
This project is being run and championed by local group Stoke in Bloom and it's not just trees, they are making a brand new pocket park!
They will be transforming the space with loads of new plants and painted railings and as well as the trees, PTP were able to get funding for 2 new benches and 3 interpretation boards. These will be installed really soon.
Thank you to our volunteer Tree Wardens - Helen, Nick, David and Mark for coming along! Also, thanks to Mark and his team at PCC for dropping off the woodchi p.
The trees and our involvement in this project was made possible with funding and support from the Plymouth and South Devon Community Forest.
This project has since been covered by The Plymouth Chronicle.
