Following public consultation and planning for a similar scheme in 2024 and a project which, unfortunately, had to be postponed, Plymouth Tree People were delighted to be approved for funding for extensive tree planting on Wingfield Road and Maker View.
We got a great response from local people and after speaking with many of the residents we designed a scheme with 51 trees and 2 picnic benches to be delivered over the 2025 and 2026 planting season.
This project is made possible due to funds and support from the Plymouth and South Devon Community Forest.
On November 7th, with the help of 27 volunteers including many of the PTP volunteer Tree Wardens, we planted the first 9 trees, and despite the terrible weather, we had a great day!
